IMPORT PLAYER NAMES The command Import player names is reached from the FILE menu; it opens a Windows (standard) Open dialog. Select the source file and importation will be automatic. Import failed Invalid name Format of source file The ID can be up to 12 digits and the player name can be of any length. The maximum length that can be presented at the table is 20 characters (including spaces between the first, middle and last name). You can indicate how you want the control software to shorten long names in the Preferences dialog that is opened via the SYSTEM menu. |

FUTURE STARTS The only way to prevent that the names are loaded from the text file is to remove the names.txt file from the BridgeScorer folder. The idea is that you should keep the names.txt file until it has become obsolete and then replace it with a new (via the import function described above). |

ACBLscore You should answer "No" if the PC is not connected to the Internet. A tick in the box Do not show again will suppress the message until the day when a new file is available on the Internet. You should first of all check that the PC is connected to the Internet if you would get the message Download failed. |
